We had a great session at our first Bude Business Voice Focus Group meeting on the 4th February. Fifteen businesses joined the discussion and we heard from St Ives on the progress they’ve made in organising their ‘business voice’ and how the town is now collectively submitting bids for up to £25m worth of new funding. We also had some great talks from three local businesses; really useful input from the Growth Hub and Skills Hub; and a thought provoking contribution from Transition Bude on a locally focused, sustainable approach to the future of the Bude area economy.
The next Focus Group, Zoom based, is on the 18th February at 14.00. If you would like your business to get involved, there is still time. Contact us via the details below to find out more.
Here are two more local businesses who have joined the Bude Business Voice discussion:
Dragonfly Bude are part of the Bude area’s creative sector and members of the Creative Bude initiative. Using natural materials they offer creative inspiration for crafters of all ages. They also showcase other local craft makers. Check them out for some spring inspiration!
Holdcroft Lighting and Home, as many will know, provide the Bude area lighting and décor solution! Delivering services to the South West for over sixteen years and offering solutions for the home, the office and the garden from their showroom at Kings Hill Industrial Estate.
Bude Business Voice is a business organisation, led by business; and aiming to represent all sectors in the Bude area economy. Working with organisations such as Bude Stratton Town Council, local parish councils and community organisations we want business to make a strong contribution to the future plans for Bude, Stratton, the community and the economy.
It is time for a strong Bude Business Voice.
